Creating a Legacy

Creating Pulse Media & Entertainment Group has been a long-time dream.  It took ten years after the death of my father to get to a point to where I could finally see his vision realized.  The idea is to create the legacy my father envisioned, so as not to say that he died leaving nothing behind.

The Team Behind the Dream

Pulse Media & Entertainment Group is designed to focus on the mainstream of the media, social and entertainment industries.  My name is Rene, President & CEO, and I am basically building PME Group from the ground up.  PME Group will highlight concerts, social functions, media spotlights, networking opportunities, and entertainment news, reviews and announcements as they happen.  From this venture I hope will come hosted events that will represent specific organizations to help support their cause.

Behind the Legacy

Swing Daddy was my father's life-long dream, and a legacy he wanted to leave behind as a mark on the entertainment industry.  His thought provoking ideas would have meant the world to today's youth, struggling vocalists and musicians through developing much needed programs that would have given them the alternative to the life they were living and outlets that would have kept them off of and away from street violence.

His ideas were to take drastic measures towards trying to put a dent in the violence and harsh realities we see in many of our younger generation.  To him, this was how he intended to pay his debt to society after serving almost a 7 year prison term at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo, CA, and for all the wrong he commited in his life. His turning point was to use Swing Daddy Entertainment as the stumping ground for setting a better example and letting people know that you can live a better life and learn from the wrong you've done.  Swing Daddy Entertainment would have been the opening door to helping others through his experiences, and at the same time right his wrongs.

His company would have had a positive impact in the entertainment industry by generating opportunities that would channel the energy of our youth through a variety of programs ranging from music and art while fighting against the war that takes the lives of children on a daily basis.  But his health took its toll, succumbing to cancer that had spread throughout his body, and on August 10, 2011 he passed away.

His passing from colon cancer, six months before he was to be released from prison, left his dream...his legacy unfulfilled.  And it's taken ten long years for me to the reality that despite the life he lived, he made a valiant effort to turn things around for the better.  And ten years later, Pulse Media & Entertainment Group was formed and is working to move forward to bringing his vision to life with supporting those organizations that cater to young children in all avenues, and supporting young artists who are fighting to make their music heard.
